What to have ready

Most brokers require the same core documents. Having these ready speeds up approval.

  • Active operating authority: your MC number (if hauling for-hire interstate) and USDOT number, in good standing with FMCSA
  • Certificate of insurance (COI): auto liability and cargo coverage that meets broker requirements
  • IRS Form W-9 for your business
  • Notice of Assignment (NOA) if you use a factoring company
  • Equipment details: truck and trailer type, dimensions, weight capacity and any special equipment (straps, tarps, chains, load locks)
  • ELD or logging method in use on your truck
  • Preferred lanes, home base and minimum rate targets

Please do not email bank account numbers, card numbers or Social Security numbers. We will tell you the secure way to share anything sensitive.

Our commitments

  • You approve every load before it is confirmed
  • You keep control of your truck, drivers and safety decisions
  • Fees are in writing before we book your first load
  • You can end service at any time with written notice
  • We keep your business information confidential

Common questions

Do I need my own MC number?

To haul freight for hire across state lines for brokers, a carrier generally needs its own USDOT number and operating authority (MC number), or must operate under another carrier's authority. We can talk through your situation, but we cannot obtain authority for you. You can look up authority status on the FMCSA SAFER system at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov.

Do you take ownership of my freight or payments?

No. Primeway Enterprises LLC is a dispatch service. We are not a motor carrier and do not take possession of freight. Your payment arrangements with brokers and any factoring company are between you and them.

Do I have to approve each load?

Yes. We present options and negotiate, and you decide whether to accept. We do not confirm a load without your approval.

Can box truck operators use your service?

Yes. Box trucks under 26,001 lbs GVWR generally do not require a CDL, but DOT numbers, operating authority and insurance rules can still apply depending on how and where you haul.

How is dispatch priced?

Your fee is set out in a written Dispatch Service Agreement before we book any load. See Pricing & Billing.

Can I cancel?

Yes. You may end service at any time by written notice. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Do you guarantee a certain income or number of loads?

No. Freight availability and rates change with the market, so we cannot promise specific loads, rates or earnings. We commit to working diligently on your behalf.
